Short Trip to Johor & Melacca

It was a five days four nights trip. I consider this as a short holiday trip before I go back to my hometown for good.

The trip start from Dec 19 till Dec 24. I went with my cousin family. It was a decision that I made without even thinking which has given me a slight feeling of boringness. The boring part is I need to deal with boring situation.

So we went on the 19th of December to Johor Baru. The reason why I decided to follow it's because of the youth exchange program.

Both of my cousins are joining this youth exchange program by Lion's club which allow them to become the host or tour guide in Malaysia for a Japanese student that come to Malaysia for holiday. With that, these will allow my cousin to go to Japan next year. So this is how the exchange program work.

I had the chance to meet Japanese foreigners and learn some of their cultures. From the 19th until 22nd of December we spent our holiday in Johor Baru and together with these Japanese student. There are three of them and all of them are around 15 years old. (I'm the oldest but everybody thought I'm 15-16 years old.-.-)

In Johor we brought the Japanese student to the temples (chinese and indian), tried Malaysian food (Roti Canai, Roti Telur, Teh Tarik). We also brought them to a chinese wedding dinner, shopping (I had to admit they are really pro in shopping, they can shop for one whole day). We also spent time chit chatting about the culture in Japan. I was somehow excited about the historical and cultural places in Japan!

And then on the 23rd of December we went to Melacca, and spent the whole day in Jonker Street. We shopped, walked, and tried different type of food in there. It was damn crowded. The Japanese did enjoy the trip there as there was many different type of food and shops that sells souvenirs. The next day on the 24th of December before going back to KL, we went to A'formosa, and took pictures there.

In Melacca, the cendol watashiwa daisuki desu!

Up: Me with my cousins
Down: Japanese Students

It's interesting to meet them and know more about their culture. But the boringness is when everybody still prefer to focus on their gadgets.
