I Still Prefer Bicycle Than Motorbike
It was morning, nearly 8:00 AM. I just arrived home after church together with my brother and mother.
I sat at the front terrace of the house while patting my dogs.
Then, my first younger brother came out of the house with his motorbike, and as usual planning to go somewhere this early morning, or I can say just want to enjoy the cold breeze in the morning while riding his motorbike.
While opening the gate, suddenly he invited me to join him "Sist, come here. Let's have a ride"
Well, I thought, "why not?"
So then, I approached him and thought of bringing a helmet, when he gave me that no-need-kind-of look.
Then, I was a little bit startled when I saw him sitting on the back seat of the motorbike.
Then, he said, "I want you to ride on it" he said with a happy tone of voice, and smily silly face.
I refused at first, but then I was curious to try it.
So I ride on it. My first thought when I ride on it was how to move this bike.
So my brother taught me how to ride this motorbike. Those gas, front break, and back break. Well it was pretty easy to learn that.
Moreover, it was almost the same as riding a bicycle.
So I tried, put a little gas, and yes, it's to little that the motor won't move forward. So I add a little more, and yes it move forward.
My brother was sitting behind me, and telling me what to do and not do. It wasn't easy to multitask in that kind of situation .
But then, when comes to turning, I was bad at it. I wasn't able to turn perfectly, and it was totally different from bicycle. When turning, I could feel the heavy weight of the motorbike, which cause me to lose a little control over it and accidentally put more gas which almost cause me and my brother falling.
He wasn't that panic, he just said "stop the gas" since the motorbike was not in the right position to move forward, instead it was in the right position to almost-going-to-fall. I wasn't panic either. I was just feeling heavy.
It was extremely heavy that I think I couldn't support it alone.
A bicycle is much better than this. I thought of that.
After that, he returned the motorbike into the right position and again, I started riding on it. Gassing, breaking, and estimating distance. Yes, it was fun to feel the cold breeze on your face, but I couldn't really enjoy it, since my focus was set on the bike.
Lastly, it was a nice experience, but up until now, I realize I still prefer to use bicycle.
