So here it is, just a couple of weeks ago, a mountain climbing group from my church offered a hiking trip to my bible class. It was a proposal, and I didn't even put an interest in this(at first). But, then one of my friend asked me to follow. I know that I need a little escape from the crowd noises in this city, so I decided to go.
Well there were 18 people in total who go in this trip.
The trip was quite exhausting since each of us need to carry our own bag and climb that 8,743 ft mountain. But I enjoy every bit of it.
The tiredness, the toughness, the hopelessness, the restlessness, everything I enjoy it. After all of those negative feeling conquered the body and mind, I felt happy and it was worth it when I see the nature at the peak of the mountain. What God has created is just so damn wonderful. That kind of feeling is priceless. I (still) feel that kind of feeling is valuable until now. Because being able to see the beauty of the mountains and forests is so different from gold or silver. They are somehow more wonderful. More indescribable.
After that, I get to experience sleeping in a tent using a sleeping bag. It's kinda hilarious and surprisingly I could sleep quite well under those not-so-good-circumstance-and-environment. And the weather was so damn chilly. Perhaps the weather is bellow 10 degree. But still I really really savor those moments.
Also, it was funny to share stories with new friends although I do not know them well, but I think it's a good thing to open yourself to someone who really wants to know about you and your thoughts.
Conclusion, you know sometimes going out from your comfort zone is what you needed the most in order to grow spiritually and mentally. Your body might have stop growing, but your mind and spirit never stops growing. Aside from that, you get to learn more about yourself, your surroundings, and the people. You will get to know yourself better.
