Being Understanding

Today is considered a hectic day for me on the road, especially on my way back home from work.
I know clearly that Jakarta is a very jam city where motorbikes are more than cars, buildings are more than trees, old busses are more than new one, a two lane car being forced into three lane and so on. There are so many things that is far from "perfect".

If you see from the negative side, all of these show a messy and crowded city. But if you see from the positive side, this city is a very good city to train your patience. I should admit it, because it is the fact.
This city has given this extra pressure that you get after you get out from your office. And you will always get this thinking "It's getting late, I have to hurry before the jam get worse." Rushing become a normal thing.

While waiting for the transport to fetch me back home from all of the horrible jams, I started to observe my surroundings and have this kind of thinking "How nice to become a tree, all you do is shading the houses, roads and so on. You don't need to move around." But then, I also think "it will be bored if it only can do that"
However as I think about that, I get to pass the time without thinking too much about rushing and jam. I was able to relax and understand that everything has their own role. And sometimes that roles cause a problem to something or someone. That is considered as a problem depending on how you interpret it.

Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. - Anonymous
I think this quote is true.
When there are things that you can't avoid and it is meant for you to confront, it is best to know how will you react to it.

So today, although there was a battle within myself where one side of me wants to get mad, whereby the other side of me wants to  accept, endure this and just go with the flow since it will end sooner or later, I choose the second option although I feel quite frustrated, but when I tried to give more thought about it, it is best to endure it since it's going to end soon anyway, getting mad will only make me feel even more frustrated.

Being understanding  is better than being frustrated about the situation that you don't like.
